Our name is Japanese for 'system' It’s a little more complicated, of course, but that’s essentially what it means. We chose the name Kei because we like to approach our work mindful of the bigger context and general connectedness of things.

Kei (系): A Japanese term denoting a system or interconnected series. In systems thinking, it represents the complex network of relationships and interactions within a whole.

It’s all connected. We look at problems through both microscopes and telescopes, taking into account the complex relationship between parts and wholes. Systems thinking helps us uncover hidden connections, tackle challenges from multiple angles, consider all stake-holders and potential impacts, consider the wider ecosystem, and create solutions that extend beyond each immediate challenge.

Our diverse expertise allows us to apply insights from one field to challenges in another.
